Our Network and Alliances

The concept of networking among organizational forms combines strategy, structure, and joint efforts to achieve national and global objectives. The Nepal Muslim Women’s Welfare Society (NMWWS) has established strong networks with local, national, and international organizations to advance its long-standing advocacy for gender equality and women’s rights. NMWWS is an active member of several key networks, including the Beyond Beijing Committee Nepal, Interfaith Peace Federation Nepal, Women Security Pressure Group, National Inter-Religious Network, Think Tank in the Ministry of Women, Children and Social Welfare, and The World Muslim Communities Council.

As part of the Beyond Beijing Committee, NMWWS advocates for feminism and human rights, aiming to achieve gender equality. Through the National Voter Right Forum, it collaborates to ensure women’s political participation and civic education. The organization also plays a crucial role in pressing the government to combat violence against women as part of the Women Security Pressure Group and works to eradicate gender-based violence within the National Inter-Religious Network.

NMWWS has taken leadership roles in these alliances, serving as Vice Chair of the Beyond Beijing Committee and Freedom for All, an executive member of the National Voter Rights Forum and Women’s Security Pressure Group, and a board member of the World Muslim Communities Council. Additionally, NMWWS provides gender-related policy recommendations to the government as part of the think tank in the Ministry of Women, Children, and Senior Citizens of Nepal.
